Position

  • Developing strong, collaborative working relationships and credibility with the Chief Executive and with the operational management team
  • Ensuring that a high-quality financial management and analysis capability exists at Group level, co-ordinating the company’s annual and longer-term planning, forecasting and review processes. Implementing and integrating systems as appropriate
  • Ensuring monthly management information reported to the Germany CEO and to the Head Office in France is focused on key priorities and supports decision-making
  • Providing strong leadership to, and developing the skills of, the Finance team in order to ensure it can support the demands of the business as it grows. Taking overall responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the Finance function in the country
  • Contributing to the direction and success of the business beyond the immediate confines of the role. In particular, assessing the financial implications of broader business initiatives
  • Leading the optimization of the support structure in the country to enable the delivery of the strategic plan. The group ambition is to grow by acquisition and significantly increase operational margins in Germany
  • Managing the IT and ERP operations, ensuring the harmonization of client and financial accounting, the implementation of new ERP and CRM systems 
  • The challenge is to lay the foundation for scale and growth in a currently small structure and then execute the integration of a multitude of small businesses in a consolidation strategy that exploits initially local and increasingly (along with the digitalization) national synergies 

Requirements

  • The candidate should have 10 to 15 years of experience in a finance and management position, preferably in the service industry (not manufacturing)
  • He should have experience in change management, in particular related to implementing ERP systems and ideally related to digitalization. We are looking for an extremely organized professional who is able to create and implement structures and is an experienced multi-project manager
  • Experience on the financing side is less relevant as management and IT expertise. M&A experience is less relevant than integration and harmonization
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Fluency in German and English, knowledge of the French language is a plus
